GFI Support: Remote Support

With TeamViewer, you grant the GFI support employee direct access to your computer via the Internet.

The support team employee will see your desktop and will be able to access all the necessary functions of the system. At the same time, you can follow all actions on the screen. You see what's happening.

Building a remote session doesn't require any special knowledge from you:
1. When prompted, download and launch Teamviewer.

2. Provide the GFI employee with the displayed ID* and password*.

* This data is only valid for the respective session.
The connection is established immediately and the GFI employee can work on your computer via the Internet.

The advantages:
  • No installation necessary.
  • Outbound connections only; existing routers do not need to be configured.
  • During the session, you will stay in touch with the GFI representative via phone or text messages (chat module).


Requirements:

Microsoft Windows
- Windows 2000 or later (except Windows CE/Windows Mobile)

Mac OS X
- Versions 10.6 or later

Existing internet connection
- a broadband connection is recommended

Cost
For GFI customers with a valid support contract, GFI Remote Support is of course free of charge. For customers without a support contract, costs will be incurred depending on the duration of the assistance.
